Responsible tourism: a few tips.
Travelling responsibly is worthwhile, for nature, for the local population, and for yourself as well. That is why we ask you to consider our sustainability policy. Below, you can already find some practical tips:
Get informed
We try to inform you as good as possible about your destination of choice. We feel that the more you know about your travel destination, the more you can empathize with it. Travelling responsibly means travelling with respect for the local values, and respect for nature. In other words, good travel preparation is of crucial importance.
Return
The second time you visit a particular destination, you can look beyond the traditional places of interest. You get to know more of the language, the culture, and the customs. You will probably even make friends for life.
Travel without haste
You cannot win a race against time, especially not in countries where the rhythm of life is completely different.
Choose your means of transportation wisely
Book your airline tickets with reputable airline companies. They invest in new, eco-friendlier airplanes. Especially in Europe, the train is a very good alternative to cover longer distances. When travelling locally, preferably go by land. Make cycling trips and go for a walk. This way, you feel the country, its nature. This way, you meet new people.
